Foliage at RDC

Fall arrived at RDC and Squam Lake was putting on a breathtaking show last month! The shore and the cottages were framed by brilliant reds, oranges, and golds, and the crisp autumn air made every view feel magical. Fall is a peaceful and beautiful time of year on the lake—perfect for a quiet walk or one last paddle.

Calendar 2026

Thank you to everyone who shared their favorite RDC memories with us through your photo submissions! We received over 400 incredible pictures from more than 60 guests and staff members — each one capturing the spirit and beauty of life at camp. After reviewing all the entries, our team selected the top photos to be featured in the 2026 RDC Calendar. It’s now in production, and you can look forward to finding it in your mailbox by the end of this month!

Squam Environmental Preservation Fund (SEPF) - Giving Tuesday

This spring, RDC launched the SEPF Summer Spotlight Partnership, directing all SEPF donations to support the Squam Lakes Association’s Watershed Campaign. Every dollar raised—up to $10,000—will be generously matched by one of SEPF’s supporters. We’re proud to share that we raised $7,520 for the campaign!

While this special partnership has concluded, you can still contribute to the SEPF to help protect and preserve the natural beauty of Squam Lake and its surrounding environment. Your donations fund sustainability initiatives, shoreline preservation, and educational programs that ensure future generations can continue to enjoy the magic of RDC and Squam.

You can give online at rdcsquam.com or use the SEPF envelope included with your calendar mailing. If you’d like your donation to count toward this calendar year, please submit it by December 15th.

Greenwood Lodge Update

After a season of wonderful improvements to Long House — including a new fire sprinkler system, updated guest rooms and bathrooms, and those much-loved balconies — it’s now Greenwood Lodge’s turn for some well-deserved attention!

Renovations and safety upgrades at Greenwood Lodge begin this fall, once again, under the guidance of Samyn-D’Elia Architects, P.A. and contractor Patrick Keefer. The project will include a new roof, a new fire sprinkler system, and enhancements to guest rooms to make stays even more comfortable in the seasons ahead.



Keep an eye out for updates on the renovation progress in future newsletters and on our social media channels — we can’t wait to share how Greenwood Lodge transforms!

Camp Store Update

Just because Camp is closed doesn’t mean the shopping fun has to stop! The RDC Camp Store is open online year-round and stocked with cozy winter favorites — from warm hats and sweatshirts to classic RDC gear that keeps the Camp spirit alive all season long. Don’t forget to shop small this month during Small Business Saturday on November 29th. Keep an eye out for sale offers on our social media.
