APPLY FOR THE RDGA'S
P.J. BOATWRIGHT INTERNSHIP!
APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED
THROUGH MARCH 15
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the golf industry? The Rochester District Golf Association is pleased to announce that we will be hosting one applicant this year for the USGA's P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internship here in Rochester!
Since its inception in 1991, the P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internship Program has helped provide experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf associations in the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term, entry level basis.
CLICK on the image above for a short introductory
VIDEO from the USGA about the Boatwright Internship program!
Each internship is different, since the needs vary from association to association. An intern may help conduct tournaments, junior golf programs, membership services, and other general activities that promote the best interests of golf. Arrangements for multiple summer employment are possible as well. One of the outstanding features of this internship also includes the opportunity to travel to USGA Headquarters in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, on May 20-23, 2019 for Boatwright Orientation with all other selected interns from around the country. All expenses covered by the USGA!
The RDGA is now accepting applications for our 2019 USGA P.J. Boatwright Internship - but be sure to act soon: the deadline to submit applications is March 15.
