Black Equity Collective

The Black Equity Collective (Collective) is a community-public-private partnership with Black equity as its central, unifying force.

Their focus is to strengthen the long-term capacity and infrastructure of Black-led and Black-empowering social justice organizations in Southern California (Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire).

The Collective was born out of the Black Equity Initiative (BEI), an effort that began in 2017.

The BEC Second Annul Symposium was everything and so much more. There's nothing like a room full of CBOs and funders sharing ideas, fellowshiping and learning from one another.

“Funders put the pressure (on BLOs) of being in multi-racial spaces without the space to show up as ourselves.” - Kaci Patterson dropped gems during the opening panel discussion at our 2nd Annual Equity & Justice Symposium.

The Symposium (and the Black Equity Collective in general!) provides Black-led and Black-empowering organizations in Southern California with a unique space to unapologetically show up as their authentic selves and speak their truths.

Maternal Health Network of

San Bernardino!

The Maternal Mental Health Network of San Bernardino hosted their annual Member Summit and it was beyond amazing. The MHN Member Summit is intended for perinatal providers and maternal health professionals designed for us to connect and share!

About the MHN - San Bernardino

The Maternal Health Network was established through the generous funding of First 5 San Bernardino based on the recognition that it would take a variety of systems and supports to improve maternal and infant health outcomes for families throughout San Bernardino County.
