REACH Awarded 'Excellence in Impact Budget Under $1M' |
In November, REACH was honored to receive the 2024 Excellence in Impact Award (Budget Under $1M) at the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance's (TVNPA) Power of Giving event at the Bankhead Theater!
This year's theme, The Wizard of Oz, reminded us of Dorthy's timeless words: “There’s no place like home.” Like Dorthy, we believe that the key to independence begins with a home! For over 30 years, REACH has provided extremely affordable and safe homes within our Tri-Valley for adults with I/DD.
Our heartfelt thanks to the community and TVNPA for the continued support of our mission!

Hansen Hive Heartwarming Open House & Ribbon Cutting |
On November 6, 2024, Tri-Valley REACH celebrated the grand opening of its inaugural Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in Pleasanton, California, with a Heartwarming Open House and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony. This newly established residence, named the ‘Hansen Hive’, reflects a sense of community, energy, and warmth, offering a welcoming addition to REACH’s properties across the Tri-Valley.
The Hansen Hive ADU is the momentum needed to sustain and expand local affordable housing options and inclusivity to our community members with I/DD. This project was made possible through a collaborative partnership between Tri-Valley REACH, the City of Pleasanton, and Alameda County.

Give the Gift of Independence this Holiday Season |
There is still time to make a lasting impact by giving to Tri-Valley REACH. As an anchor nonprofit in the community, we've proudly served our region for over 30 years—and our success is only possible thanks to the generosity of our community members like you!
Together, we are building inclusive communities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live and thrive independently. Our REACH residents make meaningful connections with their neighbors, while building essential skills for day-to-day independent living.
Each of our homes are tailored to accommodate the individual needs of our residents, fostering confidence and autonomy. Your gift directly supports these efforts by ensuring that our local community members with I/DD have a safe and affordable home.
As the year draws to a close, we invite you to consider making a donation to REACH. Every heartfelt gift, big or small, has a meaningful impact on the lives of current and future residents!
Did you know? REACH services and programs are provided exclusively through board volunteers, private donors, fundraising, and grants.

T-RADD Holiday Celebration |
In December, REACH hosted it's annual Winter Holiday Party Celebration. The party celebrates the achievements across all 2024 sports. A highlight of the evening is Santa’s arrival. Athletes enjoy the chance to connect, share their experiences, and celebrate the end of another fantastic year. The event also provides an opportunity for coaches to express gratitude to families, support staff, and all those who help make practices and competitions possible.
The teams are excited for what’s ahead in 2025 and can’t wait to share more success stories in the coming year!

Blog Author: Diane Warzecha
The Winter holiday season can be a time of joy, excitement and wonder. Regardless of what you celebrate, it often means a festive atmosphere along with increased exposure to large gatherings, additional visual stimuli, and increased social expectations. While some of us may thrive on some or all of these elements, others, especially our Neurodivergent family members, friends, and peers, may find this overwhelming, unsettling, painful, or simply unpleasant. What can we do?
There are steps we can take to help our Neurodivergent family members, friends and peers feel comfortable with the many changes around the holiday season.
