WELCOME MESSAGE

Welcome to Hospitality Insights

A message from Mark Knott, Vice President and Hospitality Leader at PMA

Welcome to the inaugural issue of Hospitality Insights

We created this newsletter with a simple goal: to offer a practical, forward‑looking perspective on the forces shaping hospitality projects today—from early vision and development strategy through delivery and operations. Each issue will highlight industry trends, share lessons learned from active projects, and explore how owners and operators are translating capital investment into meaningful guest experiences and ultimately ROI.

Many of you know me through my work with Project Management Advisors (PMA). You may also have seen a new name alongside PMA: Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D). PMA and B&D recently joined forces, bringing together deep hospitality project expertise with nationally recognized development advisory and strategic planning capabilities. For our clients, that means clearer alignment from concept to execution, and stronger outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

We’re excited to share how this merger is helping hospitality leaders unlock value in increasingly complex, experience‑driven environments. Click below to learn more about the combination of PMA and B&D!

From labor availability to material sourcing and infrastructure gaps, this article explores how logistics shape outcomes long before construction begins. Read the full article to learn what successful teams do differently to stay in control.

ASK THE EXPERT

Ask The Expert: Building Off the Grid

What are some lessons learned from years spent developing off-the-grid? We sat down with Stuart Hemmes, a Senior Project Manager at PMA, to talk about his work supporting large-scale, logistics-driven hospitality developments in remote island environments, and what owners, developers, and operators should know before embarking on similar projects.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
