Dear F.A.R. Members,

We hope you enjoyed a festive night of Halloween fun, and are ready for a full month ahead! Thanks to everyone who participated in the educational and networking opportunities we offered in October including our New Member Orientation , the popular Legal Update with Gov Hutchinson, the YPN Masquerade Mixer & Charity Drive in Downtown Fresno, and much more! In association news, the majority of our members voted to approve the new building purchase and/or construction process, and our brand awareness campaign is running full steam ahead on local television and social media.

As always, please take a look below at the events and classes coming up this month. We encourage you to get the most out of your F.A.R. membership and continuing to best serve your clients. Happy November!

Get Peace of Mind with Auto-Pay
Are you taking advantage of the FAR auto-pay system? FAR has received some feedback as to why members haven’t taken interest in our auto-pay system. You may wonder if your information is secure when you put your card on file. To put your mind at ease, FAR follows the PCI compliance requirements and regulations to be sure your information is secure. Once we enter your credit card information it is then encrypted and no longer visible to us. What is PCI Compliance you may ask? In general, PCI compliance is required by credit card companies to make online transactions secure and protect them against identity theft. Any merchant that wants to process, store or transmit credit card data is required to be PCI compliant, according to the PCI Compliance Security Standard Council.
Be Mindful of your Signage
Open House signage is a critical component of our REALTOR ® member marketing tactics, but it is important that we be mindful of the location and duration of time that the signage is left in public view. Please be respectful of the neighborhood and placement of signs, and remember to pick them up ASAP so they don't get confiscated. Please check your city and county sign ordinance laws to be sure you are being lawful. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

For the third time this year, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates by a quarter point in an attempt to bolster a slowing economy. The federal funds rate will hover between 1.5% and 1.75%. The Fed’s benchmark rate does not directly affect long-term mortgage rates, but it does often influence them. Click here to read more on REALTOR® Magazine's web site.
