Please join REBA’s Land Use & Zoning Section for a webinar at 12 noon on Monday, September 11th. REBA Board member Daniel P. Dain of Dain, Torpy, Le Ray, Wiest & Garner, PC, and Malia Lazu, founder of the Urban Labs, will present.
In his new book, A History of Boston, due in bookstores on September 19, Dan Dain argues that city building starts with density, diversity and good urban design, and that Boston has mostly succeeded when it has embraced (more or less) these principles (such as during the last 30 years), and failed as a city when it turns its back on these principles (such as during most of the twentieth century).
Dan will be joined by Malia Lazu, founder of The Urban Labs, and former Regional President at Berkshire Bank, where she launched ReevX Labs, a collaborative workspace and innovation hub for the urban start-up community. Based on this professional experience, as well as authoring her own upcoming book, From Intention to Impact, a practical guide about DEI in management, Malia will explain how DEI initiatives are part of the process of city building that A History of Boston chronicles.
This webcast program, which is open to all REBA members, is from 12 to 1 pm on Monday, September 11, 2023.
To register, RSVP to Matt Zarrella at zarrella@reba.net.
