Moves Magazine Celebrates the 2024 Power Women
On Friday eve November 1 in New York City, Moves Magazine celebrated 21 years of Power Women with a spectacular gala affair and awards ceremony at SECOND in Midtown. NBC News Daily anchor Morgan Radford oversaw the event as the emcee and welcomed over a dozen Power Women from a multitude of industries up on stage to accept their award. In keeping up with the theme of the evening—honoring women that are breaking down barriers and making change possible—host and Power cover Jessica Capshaw unified the audience with a message of “Vote!” The Grey’s Anatomy star was so moved by the fellow honorees on a night that showcased so many incredible and uplifting speeches and performances. Comedian Katie Boyle provided the laughter with a comedic set while electronic cellist Eyeglasses electrified the crowd throughout the evening.
But the true stars of the evening were the Power Women honorees: Isabella Espinosa, Founder and Creative Director, BAOBAB Swim; Jane Hamilton Nielsen, Chief Operating Officer, Ralph Lauren; Sarah Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Think Dutchess; Tory Brangham, Chief Commerce Officer, Dotdash Meredith; Tarana Burke, #MeToo Founder and Activist; Aviva Roumani, Chief Corporate Development Officer, LionTree; Paula Silver, SVP, Corporate Communications/Corporate Citizenship, DTE Energy; Amiee Bayer-Thomas, Chief Store Operations Officer, Ulta Beauty; Paula Santilli, Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo LATAM; Katherine Post Calvert, Chief Marketing Officer, PagerDuty; Lt.
