Random Acts of Kindness Week

During Random Acts of Kindness Week (February 14 - February 20, 2025), students from Ms. Woodberry, Ms. Jones, and Coach Alexander’s classes at Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence prepared small gifts to show appreciation for our bus drivers, bus assistants, and custodians.

These thoughtful gestures aimed to spread kindness and gratitude throughout our school community.

Both young ladies were named to the Airport High School JV Challenge Cup All-Tournament Team based on their performance at the tournament hosted the weekend of February 21-23.

Student Spotlight: Back to Back HJSHS Spelling Bee Winner

Congratulations to Aaliyah Reese, a 7th grader, for earning this year’s title in the Spelling Bee. Aaliyah is a back-to-back champion, having also won the title in 2024. Great job, Hurricanes!

The HJSHS Spelling Bee took place on Wednesday, February 26th. Our scholars did an amazing job in the 2025 Spelling Bee. Thank you to our ELA team for organizing this event for our students!

RSAE Middle School Spelling Bee

Congratulations to the winners of the first RSAE Middle School Spelling Bee!

The event was a fantastic showcase of spelling talent and hard work. Each participant demonstrated impressive skills and dedication. Special recognition goes to the top spellers who emerged victorious after several challenging rounds.  The competition was fierce, and all participants should be proud of their achievements.
