Friends of the Parks' Annual Luncheon opens this year's conference "Rethinking the Role of Chicago's Parks: Parks as Democracy?"

The conference will feature keynote speakers, expert panels, round table discussions, and small group working sessions to provide participants with essential tools to enhance their blueprint for success in all of our community parks. The conference will also provide excellent networking opportunities to meet fellow park supporters and advocates - like you.

Join planning professionals, leaders in park advocacy and policy, plus supporters of Chicago park preservation and development.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
  • Park Advisory Council (PAC)/Park Partner Organization (PPO) members
  • Friends of the Parks members and supporters
  • Concerned residents
  • Community activists and organizers
  • Those who are interested in urban planning, community engagement and policy
This conference is designed for enhanced learning, sharing of ideas and lessons learned, and exploring how communities can activate and engage in supporting and developing the best parks possible.

QUESTION: "Parks as Democracy?"

At Friends of the Parks, we know the answers lie in your ability participate in democracy itself - the freedom to ask questions, to join together in making communities and parks great, and to converse with and to learn from each other.

We look forward to joining with you to explore and rethink the role of parks in Chicago. We are very excited about who is participating and look forward to sharing more details. See the full conference schedule and registration pricing on our website:  https://fotp.org/conference-2017/

You can register separately for the luncheon and/or different conference segments.
