IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OTTAWA TFC TRIALISTS

Thank you to all of those who have attended recent training and tryouts sessions. Our staff is working carefully and meticulously to make the best groups, teams and squads possible. You should expect to receive an email by Tuesday, March 14th confirming your placement in one of our Programs for Spring/Summer 2023.

If you registered after the first wave of evaluations in February/March, you will be invited to some pre-season sessions in April where the staff coaches will evaluate you and place you accordingly.

If you have any questions around the evaluation process, please communicate with our staff coaches.

NEW PROGRAM: Introduction to Soccer (Players born in 2019 - U4)

Players at this age are starting their "careers" in soccer and need to develop their skills appropriately. The weekly 30-minute session consist of various skills exercises as well as small games on a rotational basis. Players are grouped by age and gender.

SUMMER CAMPS: Are you looking for a soccer camp for your player? This summer, Ottawa TFC will be offering morning day camps for players starting as young as U6 (2017). You can find more information as well as the dates and times on our website.

GIRLS AND BOYS RECREATIONAL SOCCER U16-U18: Is your daughter or son looking to play soccer with their friends this summer? We have our Open League where players will play against other teams in the Orleans/Gloucester area. For more information, visit the Open League on our website.

KEEPERS: Is your player interested in being a keeper? We have a program that has been put together by our very own goalkeeping staff. The training focuses on technical development of each keeper, with emphasis placed on techniques, agility, etc. Register Now!

ADULT LEAGUES: Are you trying to get back in shape? Are you looking to meet new people? Or how about simply getting out of the house and exercising? Ottawa TFC has several adult recreational (and competitive) leagues right in Orleans. Are you up for the challenge? Have a look at our website and Register Now!

OTTAWA TFC S'ASSOCIE À L'ÉCOLE SECONDAIRE CATHOLIQUE GARNEAU

Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer officiellement notre partenariat avec l'école secondaire locale, ESC Garneau, dans leur nouveau programme Sports-Études! Ce programme sera disponible cet automne‼️

Ce programme permettra aux étudiants-athlètes, de la 7e à la 12e année, d'exceller en classe et sur le terrain grâce à un programme équilibré, comprenant des compétences et des tactiques sur le terrain, des analyses hors terrain et des séances physiques, ainsi qu'un développement du leadership. Tous les joueurs du Ottawa TFC bénéficieront du fait que le programme soit aligné avec l'entraînement de leur club à l'Académie Élite ou avec nos autres programmes.

Ce nouveau programme de pointe disposera également d'installations de haut niveau, se déroulant dans un TOUT NOUVEAU dôme polyvalent ! En plus d'un terrain 11v11 grandeur nature, il y aura également des zones d'entraînement physique, des courts et bien plus encore !

OTTAWA TFC PARTNERS UP WITH 'ÉCOLE SECONDAIRE CATHOLIQUE GARNEAU'

We are excited to officially announce our partnership with local high school, ESC Garneau, in their new Sports-Études Program! This program will is available this upcoming fall‼️

This program will allow student-athletes, through grades 7-12, to excel in the classroom and on the field through a balanced curriculum, including on-field skills and tactics, off-field analysis and cross training, as well as leadership development. All Ottawa TFC players will benefit from the program being lined up with their club training in the Elite Academy or with our other programs.

This new, cutting edge program will also have top tier facilities, taking place in a BRAND NEW multipurpose dome! Along with a full-sized 11v11 pitch, there will also be cross training areas, courts, and more!

MEN'S INTERNAL LEAGUE

After a roller-coaster of a regular season, the Men’s White (technically Black) team capped off our 2022-23 Men’s Internal League with a dominant final victory over their Purple counterparts!

Experience proved to be key, with the MVP award going to none other than Abdoul Barry, who also coaches in multiple academy/competitive programs at the club. Nobody really knows how many goals he scored, but we all know it was A LOT!

Congrats to the champions, and thanks to everyone who participated over the winter!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW ADVENTURE!

HAILEY JONES

2005 Senior Elite goalkeeper, Hailey Jones, will be heading out east to attend St. Francis Xavier University this upcoming fall to play as an X-Woman!

Hailey has been with Ottawa TFC since the very beginning, starting her soccer career at the age of 4. In her time at the club, she transitioned from an outfield player to a GK at a young age.From there, she found her passion between the posts. This past year, she was ranked as the #12 recruit by @ftfcanada and was our U17 OPDL GK. Although most know her as a teammate and friend, some of our young players know her as Coach Hailey. Since the age of 12, she has been coaching with our grassroots programs and our GK programs‼️

Hailey plans on studying Human Kinetics, with the dream of becoming a doctor. We are very excited for you to start your new journey, Hailey. We will be cheering for you on the east coast all the way from home.

ZOE LORTIE

2005 Senior Elite, Zoe Lortie, has committed to Ontario Tech University where she will play as a Ridgeback this upcoming fall‼️

Zoe has been in and out of Ottawa TFC since U4, and has been a part of our Elite Academy since U13. She was part of our U17 OPDL Squad that won the Charity Shield in 2021. She will be attending Ontario Tech to study Kinesiology!

We are excited to see you off, and we wish you the best of luck on your new journey as a Ridgeback.

All our teams have amazing dedicated coaches and staff, but let's get to know them a bit better. We will be profiling coaches from Ottawa TFC in a new section called 'Coaches' Profile'.

Where do our players go after their pathway at Ottawa TFC finishes? University? Professional team? etc. Let's find out together!
