It's All Happening on Juneteenth!
June 19, 2024 from 2-10 p.m.
Hello Friends

I know I told many of you that ARISE 5 was my last one, and yet here I am planning for ARISE 6 on Juneteenth. Again, the Spirit has spoken! This will be the 6th Annual ARISE Pupil of the Eye Conference, and it is going to be spectacular. Please share with your friends and family of African descent. Every prior ARISE conference has been multiple days; this year, however, we will have just one jam-packed day!

Registration is now open at https://tinyurl.com/ARISE6REGISTRATION

Please note that space is limited, so register early. Although everyone is invited to register, there will be a manual confirmation to assure that everyone who is approved can get in. My last program had almost a thousand registrants with space only for 500. The confirmation will still be sent out by Zoom, but it will not be automatic and instant, as I will be reviewing each one personally, so please be patient.

Because of the limited capacity, I will give priority to those who have supported my programs in the past financially or through service, those who are pupil of the eye, those who are working in the field to promote race unity and justice, BIPOC folks, and then all others, space permitting.

This program will celebrate the work that has and is being done to promote the oneness of humanity over the decades. We will be looking at the past, present, and future! There are three distinctive parts.

Part 1: 2-4 p.m. EST
The first part is recapping and reflecting on the past five years of the Pupil of the Eye Movement. We've had Black Fridays, conferences for Black/Native Unity, 7-Days of Kwanzaa, Justice for Women, Diaspora Dialogues, POTE Family Reunion, and the 109 Speakers/Services to Humanity Tribute to Abdul-Baha. If you are just learning about this movement, you'll get a chance to reminisce with us. Come hear a dramatic reading of the Sadie Oglesby 1927 convention talk with Kevin Genus and myself, a brief recap of the turning point at National Convention, the reading of the 2024 Letter to the Pupil of the Eye from the National Spiritual Assembly, video highlights of the past five years, an explanation of just who the pupil of the eye are and our spiritual destiny/responsibilities, and more.

Part 2: 4-7 p.m. EST
We take a deep dive into the Foundation Hall University, a unique institution that started during the pandemic and inspired many through deep study to embark on their own paths of service around the most vital and challenging issue. You'll learn of the study work we have been doing there and hear from a dozen participants who have translated what has been written into reality and action and spear-headed initiatives over the past five years from their inspiration at FHU.

Part 3: 7-10 p.m. EST
This power session will feature the Sisters Gathering with Dr. Joy DeGruy, Iris DeGruy-Bell, Jeanais Brodie, and Beverly Moore. They will reflect back on the 90's and bring you forward to the work they are doing today inspired by their travels to Africa. Several brothers from the BMG, including Anthony Outler, James Williams, Willis Burris, and Derik Smith (serving the Race Unity Desk) will share how their BMG participation transformed them and influenced the work they are doing now to serve humanity. We've all been waiting to hear about the Race Desk, and our program will conclude with this presentation and Q/A with Derik.

Phew!!!! I'm both exhausted and excited just with the overview! Juneteenth is a time to remember, re-commit, and celebrate!
