Recently, New York City launched “Key to NYC” requirements under a Mayoral Executive Order. This policy has been confirmed to impact Ifetayo’s operations and programs planned for the Major Owens Health & Wellness Center Armory, and mandates:
 
  • Starting August 17, people 12 and older will be required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO 

  • Businesses are required to check the vaccination status of all staff and customers 12 and older. You may not permit entry to anyone 12 and older who has not received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. You can make an exception for allowing customers to use the bathroom or for another reason that will take a small amount of time (e.g. less than 10 minutes)

As always, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our children. We have spoken to our local elected officials regarding the impact of this mandate on Ifetayo, the community we serve and other small Arts & Culture organizations. 

All staff, program participants and visitors are required to wear masks for all in-person activities, regardless of their vaccination status. If you have questions regarding this new policy, please email us at [email protected]

 
Acceptable methods for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination include: 

Valid ID includes your name and a photograph; for example: 
  • School I.D. card
  • Driver’s license
  • Government I.D. card
  • IDNYC card
  • Passport

To be able to serve our families we will be offering both remote & limited in-person programs this fall. We also want to better understand how our community feels about the NYC COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and overall returning to in-person please take a moment to respond to this survey.
