Instructor Certification Course (CNWI)

Take the next step in your professional journey with the NACSW® K9 Nose Work® Instructor Certification Course. This in-depth, instructor-focused program is a required component for those pursuing Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) status and is designed to develop confident, skilled educators grounded in the NACSW K9 Nose Work® methodology.

Delivered live in a virtual classroom, the course emphasizes instructional skills, training concepts, and teaching strategies essential for leading successful K9 Nose Work® teams.

  • Segment 1: February 27 – March 2, 2026
  • Segment 2: August 14 – 17, 2026

Course Format & Daily Schedule

  • Format: Live virtual instructional event via Zoom Webinar
  • Location: Online (Virtual Classroom)
  • Daily Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time

This course is designed as an immersive, live learning experience. Full attendance for all course days is required to ensure participants gain the maximum benefit from the material and instructional format.

The Instructor Certification Course is instructed by Amy Herot and Jill Marie O’Brien, founders and originators of the NACSW K9 Nose Work® program.

Continuing Education Credits

  • NACSW CEUs:
  • 6 CEUs per day for CNWI participants
  • CCPDT CEUs:
  • 30 CEUs for CPDT-KA
  • Attendance at all 8 course days is required
  • CEUs are not awarded for individual days
