New Beginnings!
From Crisis to Opportunities
Managing the anxieties, pressures, stresses, and unique existential fears surrounding declining congregations is a highly complex and often overwhelming prospect. To make it worse, as pastors and District leaders, we're having to manage our own personal angst about them too. Frequently, this leads us to react with our own, "one way, crisis-driven" thinking. Breaking this cycle begins by discovering what God may be up to in these transitional times. That is the focus of this year's Best Practices in Transitional Interim Ministry event. Whether you're a Settled Pastor, District leader, or a TIM Practitioner, facing and addressing these types of challenges as God-created opportunities is the starting point for revitalization. Where others can only see problems, seeing possibilities and opportunities, instead of roadblocks, is essential for entering into and ministering to these challenging systems. Consider: What if God is shaking things up to make way for a new and even better chapter of Mission and Ministry?
With a wide variety of speakers from diverse backgrounds, we will highlight those themes that encourage rethinking, reimagining and adapting our paradigms to align to current realities. Insights will be shared in how the Holy Spirit may be creating open doors for new ministry ventures.
As always, Best Practices in TIM is not only for TIM Practitioners but for all parish pastors, Circuit Visitors, Regional VPs and any District staff looking for real ministry solutions. We know the value of networking and the power of shared collaboration. We may not have all the answers, but we're definitely asking the right questions and that's the foundation for all adaptive learning, growth and solutions!
