AMAZON'S BRIAN HUSEMAN TO SERVE AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT CHAMBER'S 95TH ANNUAL MEETING

Huseman serves as Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon

ARLINGTON, VA. - The Arlington Chamber of Commerce announced today that Brian Huseman, Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon, will serve as the keynote speaker at the 95th Annual Meeting. With more than 300 attendees anticipated, the 95th Annual Meeting is a key event for the Arlington business community that will celebrate the Chamber's 2019 accomplishments, while looking ahead to 2020. The event will be held on Friday, December 6, from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel.

"We are pleased to have Brian Huseman serve as our Annual Meeting keynote speaker," said Kate Bates, President & CEO of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. "Last November, Brian represented Amazon at the first public announcement of the new headquarters, and in the year since, Amazon has immersed themselves in the Chamber and the broader Arlington community. We are excited to have Brian share his insights on Amazon's first year in Arlington and its future here."

The Chamber was a strong supporter of welcoming Amazon to Arlington, anticipating vast benefits from the new headquarters, including increases in jobs, economic activity, and innovation in Arlington. Amazon took the early initiative to connect and integrate itself into its new community, becoming an active member of the Chamber immediately after announcing the Arlington headquarters. The Chamber worked with Amazon on advocacy efforts to demonstrate strong, community support for the new headquarters and to secure its place in Arlington. Amazonians have been, and continue to be, active participants in the Chamber, as they build ties with local businesses and the broader Arlington community.
