Chamber to Honor Local Businesses at the 35th Annual Best Business Awards
Winners to be announced at live and virtual ceremony on Wednesday, May 19
ARLINGTON, Va.The Arlington Chamber of Commerce will hold the 35th Annual Best Business Awards on Wednesday, May 19, where this year's award winners will be announced before a live, socially distanced audience and participants joining virtually via Zoom. These prestigious awards are presented to area businesses that were scored by a panel of past winners on the following five criteria:
  1. Be a viable, ongoing, full-time business that has experienced significant growth or stability over its business life.
  2. Be well-known and respected by customers or clients for consistently delivering exceptional quality or service.
  3. Be a leader in its industry in Arlington OR have a significantly unique approach to delivery of its goods or services.
  4. Display an interest in and concern for the Arlington community - either corporately or through its owners and/or employees backed by the company.
  5. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion as part of company culture. 

These awards are earned by Chamber member businesses located in Arlington that fall into the following categories: nonprofit organizations; businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees in retail, service, and technology; businesses leading in sustainability; and businesses with more than 50 full-time employees.

The 2021 finalists are:
Our hybrid ceremony will feature both a virtual program on Zoom and an in-person program at the Crowne Plaza Crystal City - Washington D.C. The in-person event will be held in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines for indoor events set forth by Governor Northam, which currently limit events to no more than 50 guests. The in-person event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the program at 7:00 p.m. The virtual event will begin with networking at 6:30 p.m. and then join the live program at 7:00 p.m.

Virtual event tickets for members are $35 each and $50 each for nonmembers and can be found on the Arlington Chamber website. Individuals with questions about virtual event registration or who wish to be put on the waitlist for tickets to the in-person event should contact Operations Manager Olivia McKay at chamber@arlingtonchamber.org or (703) 525-2400. The deadline to register for the virtual event is Wednesday, May 19.
