(COLORADO SPRINGS, CO) - United States Senate candidate, Olympian, and longtime advocate for female athletes and athletics, Eli Bremer is doubling down on his demand for the NCAA to ban biological males identifying as females, from competing in biological female sports at the collegiate level.

Bremer has gained national notoriety for his work to secure safety and fairness in female sports over the past 11 years. Prior to the public outing of the Nassar scandal, Bremer called for reform that would protect girls and woman against sexual assault. Long before it was popular, Bremer took on the United States Olympic Committee (USOC, now USOPC) and now he’s taking on the NCAA.

Bremer, who represented Team USA in the 2008 Olympics in the Pentathlon and lettered in two NCAA Division I sports, raises this issue again following an exclusive report in the DailyMail.com that states UPenn trans swimmer Lia Thomas, formerly known as Will Thomas, exposed themself in the women’s locker room with other biological female student-athletes.

Among the claims made by biological female student athletes in the DailyMail.com story:

'It's definitely awkward because Lia still has male body parts and is still attracted to women.”

“While Lia covers herself with a towel sometimes, there’s a decent amount of nudity, the swimmer said. She and others have had a glimpse at her private parts."

“We were basically told that we could not ostracize Lia by not having her in the locker room and that there's nothing we can do about it.”

“As a parent this story infuriates me. The NCAA must ban biological males from competing in biological female sports. Parents: do you want your daughters naked and vulnerable in locker rooms with biological males that identify as females? It is bad enough that trans swimmers like Lia Thomas are beating biological females and taking away their scholarship opportunities.

"Worse, political correctness has gone so far off the deep end that biological female athletes are afraid to be in their own locker rooms. I would argue, to the NCAA, that the ultimate form of political correctness is to respect women and not prop up ridiculous policies that put them in danger or cause such egregious discomfort.

"I started swimming competitively at age 7. One of the first lessons that I learned was not to go into the girl’s locker room. Perhaps the NCAA needs to revisit the lessons of our youth to enact common sense policies to ensure fairness and safety in women’s sport,” concluded Bremer.
