(COLORADO SPRINGS, CO) - After walkouts and protests due to Chappelle’s newest stand-up comedy routine, The Closer, made the news, film festivals across the country disinvited his documentary from being screened. Eli Bremer sent a letter to Mr. Chappelle and Ted Sarandos, co-CEO at Netflix inviting them to screen Mr. Chappelle's documentary here in Colorado and show Coloradans what it means to be unafraid of the woke mob and stand up for your beliefs.

“I believe in free speech and speaking truth to power,” Bremer wrote in his letter. “I also believe in preventing unchecked elites from controlling our lives and cancelling people for stating truthful facts. I firmly respect and commend the powerful stances you have taken in your comedy and artistic expression.”

“Our culture is suffering because too many people don’t speak out for fear of the woke mob cancelling them.” Bremer wrote, “I have a unique perspective as an Olympic athlete training with, but not competing against, females. It’s sickening to watch the rights that women have fought so hard for in sports, like the passage of Title IX, be quietly dissolved because people are afraid to push back. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to speak up about this issue because… and brace yourself here: women and men are biologically different. Biological gender is a fact.”

Dear Dave Chappelle and Ted Sarandos,

My name is Eli Bremer. I’m an Olympian, a veteran, a businessman and I’m a Republican running to represent Colorado in the U.S. Senate. At first glance, Mr. Chappelle, you and I would not have a lot in common, but it turns out that we share a few core values.

I believe in free speech and speaking truth to power. I also believe in preventing unchecked elites from controlling our lives and cancelling people for stating truthful facts. I firmly respect and commend the powerful stances you have taken in your comedy and artistic expression.

I noticed this week that you’ve announced some screening dates for your new documentary, Untitled, and I am writing to invite you to screen your new film here in Colorado.

Our culture is suffering because too many people don’t speak out for fear of the woke mob cancelling them. I have a unique perspective as an Olympic athlete training with, but not competing against, females. It’s sickening to watch the rights that women have fought so hard for in sports, like the passage of Title IX, be quietly dissolved because people are afraid to push back. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to speak up about this issue because… and brace yourself here: women and men are biologically different. Biological gender is a fact.

Mr. Chappelle, we may not agree on everything, but I think that you and I both believe in the need for honest conversations. I’d like to think we also agree that we shouldn’t bow to a handful of extreme elites who want to decide what is and is not acceptable to discuss in 2021.

As your documentary gets disinvited to film festivals across the country, I invite you to come show Coloradans what it means to be unafraid of woke mob and to stand for what you believe in.

Thanks for the time, and hope to see you in Colorado.
