RELIC INSIDER

RELIC DIGITAL ARCHIVES

There are several collections in the RELIC Digital Archives that RELIC uses often.

HISTORIC RECORDS: Prince William County People 1701-1865. This document is an efficient way to check on an early Prince William resident and some places where the name appears, such as rent rolls, tax records, legislative petitions, etc.

HISTORIC SITES: The Historic Sites Index will indicate what name the Historic Site is filed under and its alternate names. The Historic Site files in the Digital Archives will contain some facts about the site and where more information can be found. The hope is that a RELIC Historic Site file will be listed in the index. These envelopes could contain reports, pictures, newspaper articles, etc., on the site. Some of the material from the Historic Site Files is online, but not all. You may want to check the actual file in RELIC.

NEWSLETTER ARCHIVES: A set of records that you will want to research is Reliquary, an online newsletter published by RELIC for several years. There are some excellent articles in this publication.

There is a guide to the contents of all issues of Prince William Reliquary. It is intended to help the reader find a particular article if they know the topic or author's name or to find material concerning a specific period. For an every-name index, see the individual annual indexes or do a document search (using Acrobat Find) in a particular issue.
