Volunteer At Orientation!
We still have open spots that we need to fill for Orientation!   To help make Orientation go smoothly and to keep the lines down, your help is needed.

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students 
need to attend Orientation!

All students will be receiving a Chromebook (*parent must be present to sign the paperwork!) and textbooks

New students will receive their locker assignments. 

Pictures will be taken for your photo id.
Yearbooks, PE clothes, locks, and Spiritwear  will be available for purchase.
Tuesday, August 20 - 6th Grade
8:30 am - 10:30 am  - Last Names A - G
10:30 am - 12:30 pm - Last Names H - O
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm    - Last Names P - Z

Wednesday, August 21 - 7th Grade
New Students: 8:30am
Returning: 9:00am-12:30pm

Thursday, August 22 - 8th Grade
New Students: 8:30am
Returning: 9:00am-12:30pm
All students and parents will start in the Las Colinas gym 
for a brief orientation.

You will be given a rotation schedule which includes stops 
in the gym (pictures for photo id, PE clothes, yearbook, 
& spiritwear), the main office to pick up chromebook paperwork, after verifying that Annual Forms and notifications have been completed, the student window in the office for locker assignments, and the Makerspace for textbooks and Chromebooks.
What to Bring?
You will need separate payments for the following items:
  • Pictures - order form & check payable to Monarch Photography
  • PE clothes & locks - check payable to Las Colinas ASB
  • Yearbook - separate check payable to Las Colinas ASB
  • Chromebook insurance - check payable to PVSD ($20/year)
  • Spiritwear - credit card, cash, or check payable to Las Colinas PTSA
Prior to orientation, parents must go online to 
Parent Connect and fill out the  
Annual Notifications and Forms.

A parent must accompany a student to orientation in order to  sign the necessary paperwork  for your student to receive a Chromebook .
7th Grade students must bring proof of your Tdap immunization 
to the Health Office before the first day of school!

How to get Class Schedules?

Homeroom lists will NO LONGER be posted on the first day of school, on the buildings . Your student's schedule will be posted in Parent Connect on Tuesday, August 27th at 4:00 pm. This will inform you about assigned classes, room numbers, teachers AND where to go for Homeroom on the first day of school.  School begins Wednesday, August 28th! 
Parking Lot Safety

Please remember to lock your vehicle  at all times  and 
do not leave valuables in your car  (purse, cell phone, Chromebook, etc).  School Sponsors from 2018-2019 School Year, please look for your assigned space on 21st and 22nd.  Thanks!
