EDUCATION SESSION #811
Art of the Deal: Secondary Transactions in Private Investments
In the search for returns, more investors are turning to private investments. One way to achieve the exposure is to buy secondary interests in existing private investment funds. Investors are buying these interests through a fund and increasingly, directly from other limited partners. These direct transactions have averaged over $30 billion per year, per data from Greenhill, and are becoming a more popular portfolio management tool to achieve higher returns.

Get an in-the-trenches view of the secondary markets, as investors and other market professionals trace the art of the deal. Learn how they identify opportunities, source funds and assets and conduct secondary transactions. Hear the benefits for both seller and buyer, as well as other considerations when exploring the secondary market.
