Wong Kok Hoi
CIO and Founder, APS Asset Management
Mr. Wong Kok Hoi is the founder and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of APS Asset Management Pte Ltd (APS). Set up in 1995, APS currently manages USD2.8 billion (as of November 30, 2016) in assets. APS’s clients include sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, foundations, financial institutions and family offices. Mr. Wong has over 30 years of investment experience in Asia Pacific equity markets.
Mr. Wong was a Senior Investment Officer, Asia Pacific Equities Department, in the GIC from 1981 to 1985. He joined Citicorp Investment Management Hong Kong as Portfolio Manager and was promoted to CIO of Cititrust, Japan.
Mr. Wong, a Japan Mombusho scholar, obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Hitotsubashi University. He has also attended Harvard University’s Investment Appraisal and Management Program. He holds a CFA designation.

APS Asset Management
APS Asset Management was founded 22 years ago by CIO Wong Kok Hoi, and is one of Asia’s leading home-grown asset management companies specializing in Asian equities. APS has an AUM of approximately USD 2.8bn (as of November 30, 2016) and a highly institutional investor base. It’s a 100% employee-owned firm. 10% of the aggregated AUM is invested by partners and employees. Of a total of 66 employees as of January 2017, 30 are investment professionals sited in Singapore (Headquarter), China (Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen) and Japan.
