Participants will receive an introduction to a somatic approach based on Body-Mind Centering (R) through lecture, demonstration, and practice.

Diana Lara is a health promotion program specialist at On Lok 30th Street Senior Center. She is a registered ISMETA somatic movement educator, has a certification in developmental movement from the Body-Mind Centering School, and is completing her M.S. in Kinesiology at San Francisco State University. Become a Cancer Buddy Volunteer
The Cancer Buddy Program connects patients within the first year of a cancer diagnosis with trained volunteer cancer survivors. The Buddy Program is a forum for individuals to speak openly with someone who understands cancer from the inside.
