2018 may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean we're done with ACA for the year just yet! Over the coming weeks, be sure to keep the following dates in mind as you begin validating and distributing 1095-C forms:
12/31/2018:The validation process becomesavailable. You will be able to begin validating and submitting 1095-Cs for printing, mailing and filing. View the following video for an overview of the validation and submission process: Year-End Validation.
1/18/2019:First day of printing and mailing. All companies that completed the validation process before 1/17 will be printed and mailed on 1/18. Going forward, printing and mailing will be done weekly on Thursdays. (1095-C forms are mailed directly to employee addresses on file).
2/4/2019:E-filing begins. All companies that completed validation before 2/3 will be e-filed. Going forward, e-file will be done nightly. E-file receipts will be available in your dashboard 72 hours after filing has been completed.
2/25/2019:Final day to validate and submit to ensure timely distribution of 1095-C forms to employees.
In addition to the dates above, don't forget about the following ACA requirements throughout the year:
