About Operation Backpack® & VOACC
VOACC is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that empowers self-reliance and inspires hope. As a church without walls, we do this through personalized housing, ministry, health, and human services that benefit 9,600 vulnerable individuals and their families each year across Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and the Carolinas.

Operation Backpack® is our initiative to stand in the gap for our region’s most vulnerable children. Each year, we provide backpacks, school supplies and funding for academic enrichment to more than 2,000 homeless and underprivileged children in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and the Carolinas. Our goal is to help ensure these children achieve success despite their circumstances.
