Special Speaker - Kelsey Lesco - Disability Law Colorado
Kelsey Lesco is a CSL member and attorney with Disability Law Colorado. She is very active with the public guardianship issue for older adults and will speak with us about that along with the topic of older adult guardianship in general - how the process works, who is involved in the process, what to expect as our population ages into a record number of 75+ Coloradans. She may also speak about the issue of abandonment and unlawful restraint.

This year we will be at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center for the entire program (this location is across from the Capitol on Grant St). The event will run from 8AM to 12:30PM. The Governor and Lt Governor are invited along with legislators. A panel of thought leaders in the areas of mobility and health care will focus on some of the changes coming that may benefit older Coloradans in the 2020’s, including developing technologies for older adults, and potential impacts on future legislation. 2019 Outreach to Legislators
Colorado Senior Lobby is working with the Colorado Association of Area Agencies on Aging (c4a) to produce and distribute informative flyers that review the work Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) do to serve older adults in Colorado. These flyers will be distributed to Colorado Legislators every other week with the assistance of Representative Jonathan Singer (D) – District 11, Boulder County and Senator Nancy Todd, (D) – District 28, Arapahoe County.
