Guests at the Feb 18th Meeting include:

HB19-1118 - Extending Notice to a Tenant Before Eviction
Dan Brooks, a landlord, is coming to our Legislative Committee meeting on the Feb 18th. Dan wants to discuss and explore ideas for other solutions to tenant issues other than evictions, at least in some situations. He is is aware of HB19-1118: Extending Notice to a Tenant Before Eviction. Dan has many elderly tenants and has had a recent experience with one who is having some pretty serious "social" type issues related to a possible eviction, as opposed to the more typical failure to pay rent. Dan's only legal tool at present to deal with problem tenants who have created an "evictable" situation is, well, eviction.
