Guests at the Feb 18th Meeting include:
HB19-1118 - Extending Notice to a Tenant Before Eviction
Dan Brooks, a landlord, is coming to our Legislative Committee meeting on the Feb 18th. Dan wants to discuss and explore ideas for other solutions to tenant issues other than evictions, at least in some situations. He is is aware of
HB19-1118: Extending Notice to a Tenant Before Eviction. Dan has many elderly tenants and has had a recent experience with one who is having some pretty serious "social" type issues related to a possible eviction, as opposed to the more typical failure to pay rent. Dan's only legal tool at present to deal with problem tenants who have created an "evictable" situation is, well, eviction.

At the Feb 18th meeting we may also be visited by a professor and few students from Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU) who will be sitting in to hear what CSL Legislative Committee Meetings are all about. The
MSU department of
Master of Health Administration @ MSU Denver has stepped forward and is one of the sponsors of Senior Day at the Capitol happening on March 13th.
