| Xcel Energy 2021-2022 DSM Plan Settlement Proceedings

GREAT NEWS! EEBC has received a very positive response to EEBC Policy Action Committee (PAC) member rebate requests and proposals to Xcel Energy in the 2021-2022 DSM Plan proceedings.
  • Wednesday 11/25, before Thanksgiving, our legal team joined again in the final good faith negotiations between Xcel Energy and the DSM stakeholders that have continued over the past several months to settle all the issues in this proceeding.
  • Xcel Energy has circulated to stakeholders the final term sheets based on the settlement agreement. The settlement agreement has been a private 408 Rule Proceeding. The documents will be available to the PAC and EEBC members.
  • Established new deadlines
  • Filing the Settlement Agreement and Motion to Approve Settlement Agreement (December 3, 2020)
  • Filing testimony in support of the Settlement Agreement (December 14, 2020)
  • The settlement date for a one-day hearing (Thursday, January 21, 2020)

NEXT STEPS Thank you PAC members for your time and effort to write and review your proposal requests, give feedback, and join in ongoing strategic terms negation discussions over the last 8-months! Your efforts generated many wins and impacts on Xcel Energy’s direction in this Rebate Plan. Dietze & Davis summarized the Final Term Sheet Recap/Wins at EEBC's December [4Q] Membership Meeting. Join this week’s PAC meeting on January 7th for the summaries and a detailed update and discussion.

UPDATE| XCEL ENERGY'S REBATE PROGRAMS
In ColoradXcel Energy will begin the new year with all 2020 residential rebates in place. The 2021-22 CO DSM Plan has been submitted to the PUC for approval, and it’s likely that the new Plan and some new rebates will go into effect within a few months.

New payment option choices
If you use the online rebate application, you are now being asked to choose how customers want to receive their rebate check, so please ask them in advance:
  1. A traditional paper check
  2. A bill credit applied to the customer’s Xcel Energy account
  3. Direct Deposit (ACH).  Please only select this option if the customer has stated that they are set up on Autopay with Xcel Energy.
These options will be on the new 2021-22 traditional rebate applications as well. Questions? Contact Ann Kirkpatrick, Trade Relations Manager, Xcel Energy ann.kirkpatrick@xcelenergy.com.
