Navarre Park Ribbon Cutting

Sat., Apr. 30, 9:00 a.m. in Navarre

Join Santa Rosa County for the much-anticipated ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. on Sat., Apr. 30 at Navarre Park, 8543 Navarre Parkway. Santa Rosa County began redeveloping the existing Navarre Park in October 2020 to create a top-notch recreational experience for all ages and abilities.

“We have all been anxiously awaiting the opening of Navarre Park and I’m sure that the new park will be a great attraction for residents as well as visitors for many years to come,” said Commissioner Dave Piech, District 4. "The enhancements that were made are part of multiple phases of improvements slated for Navarre Park."

Special thanks to The Starfish Project NWFL for raising funds for adaptive equipment to be added to the park so children of all abilities can play together. Enhancements to the park include an interactive splash pad, ADA accessible restroom facilities, all-inclusive playgrounds for two age groups, expanded parking, an expanded boardwalk with seating and picnic tables, landscaping and stormwater improvements. Funding for the park improvements was made possible by a combination of local option sales tax funds, District 4 recreation funds, tourist development tax fund and general funds.
