NOTE CHANGE IN DURHAM DEPARTURE LOCATION: 

The bus departs across the street from Churchill Rink/Jackson's Landing, Durham, at 8:00 AM (please arrive by 7:40 AM) and the Newington pickup at 8:15 AM.

  

Directions from the Durham Evangelical Church

(our usual parking location)

to Churchill Rink/Jackson's Landing

From the Evangelical Church parking lot, turn left onto NH-108 south for .8 mile. Turn left onto Old Piscataqua Road for 269 feet to the Churchill Rink area. ARA designated parking is across the street from the rink.

Directions to Newington Pickup

From the Portsmouth Traffic Circle, take Route 16 North (Spaulding Turnpike). Take exit #1 (Gosling Road/Pease), turn right onto Gosling Road. Get in the left lane to turn at the next set of lights (right past McDonald’s). Stay in the left lane to make a left turn at the stop sign; you will be on the mall perimeter toad. Turn right into the parking lot opposite the Longhorn Steakhouse.

Fall Programs Begin Week of

September 22


Our Great Discussions groups kick things off on Monday mornings at 10:00 AM, followed by a robust schedule of interesting programs on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM & 1:30 PM, and Thursdays at 10:00 AM. Specific program listings to follow in weekly Sunday emails.


New this Fall are refreshments and conversation at 9:30 AM before the start of our Wednesday programs at 10:00 AM. Come early and socialize with fellow ARA members!

Book Club: Next meeting is Tuesday, September 16, 1:00PM, in the Durham Police Station Community Room. The Demon of Unrest by Erik Larson will be discussed. Contact Carol Szot for details and to be added to the email list carolszot@comcast.net (207-384-5153).


Hiking POD: The next hike will be Friday, September 19, on the Community Trail, Dover, NH. Contact Paul Cully to be added to the email list pac4patriot@comcast.net


Pickleball POD: Weather permitting, we meet three times a week (usually in the morning) for games using the outdoor courts in Dover, or various regional indoor courts during adverse weather. Times may vary. Contact Malcolm Brown (mb13brown@icloud.com) to be added to the email list.


Social Walking POD: Tuesdays (year round, weather permitting), 1:30-3:00 PM. Durham town parking lot at the corner of Madbury Road and Pettee Brook Lane, taking various routes around UNH or greater Durham and stopping for coffee (or whatever) and conversation before returning to the parking lot.
