REMSA Announces Board Leadership Changes in 2026

For Immediate Release – Washington, DC, January 20, 2026 - The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) announced today that Jason Rea, President, LJA Rail, was elected to the REMSA Board of Directors during the REMSA Annual Membership Meeting, which took place on December 18, 2025. Rea began his two-year Director term on January 1, 2026.

Jason Rea is the President of LJA Railroad Services, where he leads the company's rail design, construction, safety, strategic growth, and business development initiatives. Under his leadership, LJA Rail delivers solutions for Class I railroads, short line operators, and private rail shippers nationwide.


He spent the majority of his career with Union Pacific Railroad, culminating with his role as Assistant Vice President of Engineering, leading engineering teams across 12,000 miles of track, delivered major capital programs, advanced systemwide safety initiatives, and guided large-scale infrastructure modernization efforts. His leadership spanned track, bridge and signal maintenance; major renewal programs; and capacity construction across Union Pacific's network.


Jason holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He also served on the boards of the Alton & Southern Railway Company and the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis.
