Booth Sales Open | Railway Interchange 2026 | |
Railway Interchange 2026 will take place June 2-4 in Omaha, Nebraska. Railway Interchange is North America's largest railway exhibition and technical conference, bringing together thousands of rail industry professionals from around the world. The event features an expansive indoor and outdoor trade show showcasing the latest technology, equipment, and services across the freight and passenger rail sectors.
The booth application to exhibit with REMSA is open now. Returning for 2026, outdoor exhibition opportunities are available, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. New for 2026, engineering PDH courses will be available through REMSA - more information on this will be available soon.

REMSA Supplier Showcases Return for 2026 - Register Today!
REMSA Supplier Showcases in conjunction with NAMRC Class I Nights will return for 2026. These one-night events allow you to set up a table during the North American Railway Maintenance Club meetings and network with attendees. Registration includes one ticket to the NAMRC dinner.
Our 2026 season kicked off with CPKC Night in Kansas City on January 15. There were 15 exhibitors, and the NAMRC dinner included a presentation on the evolution of automated track condition monitoring. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events:

The 2026 NRC-REMSA Exhibition was held on January 7-8 in Hollywood, FL, alongside the 47th annual NRC Conference. This year's exhibition drew a record-breaking 160 companies.
As part of the broader NRC Conference, which attracted more than 1,400 industry professionals, the exhibition provided a dynamic platform for companies to present their products, technologies, and solutions that support priorities across the rail sector.
Beyond the exhibit hall, the NRC Conference featured high-impact programming, including engineering updates from chief engineers, capital updates from Class I, short line, and transit agencies, breakout discussions on safety and sustainability, and many networking receptions. It was a fantastic way to kick off the year with our members and industry partners, and look forward to seeing more of you in 2026!

The 2026 REMSA Innovation Award application is now open!
REMSA’s Innovation Award seeks to honor organizational achievement by a REMSA member company that creates an innovative solution, product, or piece of equipment that better serves previous methods of completing a similar task within the railroad maintenance-of-way industry.
To be eligible for consideration, the nominating company must be a REMSA member in good standing at the time the application is received. A company may submit one product or service each year that has been introduced into the market in the past 24 months. Companies may nominate their own product/service, or another company's product that they use.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Uniqueness of product/service (30%)
- Efficiency and utility (30%)
- Sustainability (20%)
- Endorsement/testimonials (20%)

On January 20, the House and Senate released the bill text for the negotiated FY26 Transportation-HUD Appropriations bill. The House is hoping to pass the bill this week and send it to the Senate for final passage next week before the January 30th deadline. See our website for an updated funding chart.
On January 16, the STB ruled unanimously 3-0 that the Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern merger application was “incomplete.” The railroads now have until February 17 to decide whether they will refile their application, but UP has already indicated that they will be refiling in the near future.
