INTO THE LIGHT Project

The Project is now accepting submissions for our 2026 Hawaii exhibition. The overdose epidemic has hit every community in every state. If you know someone in Hawaii who has lost a loved one, we ask that you send this to them.

Sharing a lost loved one's story with INTO LIGHT Project costs nothing. If your loved one is selected you will be connected with a professional artist and writer, to help you select a photo of your loved one, create the portrait, and write a short narrative of their life. Your loved one's portrait and narrative will be a part of the exhibition "Drug Addiction: Real People, Real Stories". Once the exhibition closes, you will be gifted the portrait from the organization.

Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking rock opera, RENT delves into timeless themes of love, loss, and friendship, resonating deeply across generations. New Assistant Professor of Acting Joshua “Baba” Tavares’ unique interpretation of this iconic musical draws profound parallels to our contemporary reality.

Big WooHoo!

The volunteer that supplies and maintains the potted pals at the entrance of the PAC is Roger Jensen, a proud member of the Vets Center. Roger took it upon himself to powerwash the sidewalks and steps, which is not the most fun job in town.

Thanks Roger for all you do, weekly (!), for the PAC.
