Photos from HAWAI`I TO THE WORLD - Kaua`i Calls

A 40' and a 20' container brought all the TV equipment, staging, lights and audio.

A crew of 12 took two days to unload and set-up..

PAC spaces were totally used not only for storage but as mini command stations.

PAC Dance Studio, a huge open space provided a great prep area.

Matrix of steel girders was assembled to hold 16 Video Wall sections & moving lights.

We erected a platform to hold the jib, long arm extended camera 30' over audience

Judge's platform was built between the 1st row in the House and the stage.

Jib is put together atop perch. 9 cameras were employed providing multiple angles.

Our light board fed theirs with DMX + Cat5 feeds, which operated from rear of House.

Gobos are cookie cutter design plates placed in the lights creating patterns.

This shot shows the video panels for the show logo. Changed thru out the show

The movers atop the girders that gave the show the feel similar to American Idol.

Audio controlled from a suite setup in the Music Studio.

In the Loading Bay, the video suite was setup for the director & crew to call show.

Green Room held the talent between acts. Above Tahitian dancers went over notes.

The Stage Left wing had the makeup girl, Camera guy with the harness, boom operator.

A Hazer was used to give the lights substance for their effects to reflect off.

Shot of the Camera guy with harness backstage in the wing.

Lights & sound controlled in the back of the house.

Judges talk with contestant from their perch in the house..

Host with all the acts onstage at the end of the evening.

...and, in closing...
