Subject: Participation in the group insurance coverage for:
Crime, Directors & Officers
Skål International USA coordinates optional group insurance coverage for our clubs. It’s time once again to learn which clubs wish to participate in the group insurance coverage. Although our renewal date is September 1, 2021; we would appreciate your response by August 18, 2021.
In checking with our insurance agent, the expectation is there will be very little, if any, increase in the premiums of these two policies.
Currently 39 clubs participate in the Directors & Officers (D&O) coverage while 38 clubs participate in the Crime coverage; the annual premiums were $247.27 per club:
D&O coverage is $7,047.00 ($180.69 per participating club)
Crime coverage is $2,530 ($66.58 per club). For example, using the above rates from last year, SI Tucson received an invoice for:
D&O $180.69
Crime $ 66.58
Total $247.27
Skal USA paid $500.00 for an accident policy which all Skal USA members are eligible for. None of this cost was passed on to the clubs.
Once renewal rates are confirmed for each policy, invoices to each participating club will be sent from Skål USA.
At your earliest convenience, and no later than August 18, 2021, please let both Skål USA's Administrators and me know if you do, or do not, wish to participate in this coverage for September 1, 2021 - August 31, 2022 by replying to skalusadmin@skalusa.org with a "yes" or "no".
