REST!!! 9/1/24
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
REST !from (ana) and (pauo); (reflexive) to repose (literal or figurative [be exempt], remain); by implication to refresh :- take ease, refresh, (give, take) rest.

It is AGAIN the wee hours of the night as I type this IMPORTANT message!!
Not only IMPORTANT for you, DEAR reader, but to me also-I ALSO DESIRE REST!!!
There ARE those precious few nights where I actually get real physical rest but many nights where my sleep is interrupted by my physical ailments and/or little Amanda.
But too often my nights are disturbed because of WORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I struggle to BELIEVE:
Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

In other Words- “BE ANXIOUS ABOUT/HAVE CARE/TAKE THOUGHT” about “NOT EVEN ONE (MAN, WOMAN, THING)”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More and more/daily I am FINALLY grasping/understanding the meaning of this oft quoted Word:
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Most often OUR battles are not waged against our personal “flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
WE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FIGHT BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did not our Lord and Savior DEMAND us to:

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Our Heavenly FATHER INTENDS for WE, HIS CHILDREN, to NOT be like the Gentiles, (UNSAVED).
Our LOVING Savior fully intends us to:

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

God HAS the ANSWER both for today and tomorrow for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oftentimes when I find myself up at this hour of the night I worry about what my lack of sleep will affect me the next day.....and I WORRY!!!!
But, SMILE, God ALWAYS makes a way and too often I regret my needless WORRY and REGRET I did not fully take advantage of the sleepless time spent with Him and little Amanda.
GOD ALWAYS PROVIDES AND GOD ALWAYS MAKES A WAY-AMEN!!??
Psalm 37:7 (KJV)
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
REST-there's that word AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM”!!!
WE HATE TO WAIT!!! WE are like little children that insist on running foolishly ahead of our parents-not realizing their loving care that we WAIT on their comfort and direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TODAY, hear the Word of the Lord and WAIT:
Psalm 27:13-14 (KJV)
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
WAIT/REST ON THE LORD TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
