Lifespan Respite grant opportunities
REST supports Lifespan Respite state projects by writing letters of support, offering an evidence-supported respite training program to create a statewide respite workforce, and offering custom data reporting for your grant deliverables. A Hornell Evening Tribune article featured Faith in Action's drop-off respite program
for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. REST Companions volunteer for the program, which takes place on the third Thursday of the month at First Baptist Church of Hornell. Read the article

Six individuals completed a Companion course on April 26
Salina Family Healthcare Center
, through North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Agency/Aging and Disability Resource Centers. The training was held for both staff and community members. Some of the community members were from a church group in Salina, which provides respite for church members. Others were people in a caregiver role with family members, who were interested in the program.
