Design Guidelines Community Input Meeting

April 20th at 6:30 pm

Comments Requested: As discussed at recent Annual Meetings, the Board of Directors has been working with our Covenants Committee, Landscape Architect, on-site management and Legal, on a comprehensive update to our Design Guidelines (aka: Unified Standards) for exterior modifications. The final draft of the updated Design Guidelines is now complete and the Board of Directors is seeking your comments or suggestions on the final draft, prior to adoption and implementation targeted for May 1, 2021. The Board of Directors welcomes any comments or suggestions you may have to insure this document provides assistance and value in supporting any exterior alteration plans you may have.

Design Guidelines Community Input Meeting

POOL OPENING UPDATE

At their April 8th meeting, the Board announced their decision that pools WILL be opening this year with restrictions in compliance with Governors orders. Going to the pool will require a reservation to balance the number of individuals with space limitations. This summer will be fluid and the Board is planning to adjust as guidelines change. Details will be released closer to pool opening.

Inflatable/Above Ground Pools

While the community pools will be open this year, the Board understands that some Residents will still not feel comfortable using these facilities at this time. With that in mind, the Board has approved to continue with a temporary exception to the rules for the use of inflatable/above ground pools. As of April 8th, the following rules for inflatable/above grounds pools are in effect until September 7, 2021.

Homeowners are required to comply with all Loudoun County codes that may require fencing.
After a pool is removed, the homeowner must replace or repair any dead and damaged sod during the fall season.
Above ground pools of 12 feet or less in diameter or length and 36” or less in depth will be permitted in all home types.
Temporary pool types do not require filtration or the use of chemicals. Pools requiring such equipment are not temporary and thus are subject to the Association’s guidelines for permanent pools and require an application.
Water should be emptied when not in use for extended periods of time and refilled when cleaning is needed. Draining of the pool should be done away from the home and homes of adjacent properties.
Pools must be located in the rear yard and within the side planes of the home.
If the above requirements are met, an application is not needed.
As of September 7, 2021, this exception expires and the current guidelines restricting the use of above-ground inflatable pools will continue.

TENNIS COURTS USE

The Tennis Courts have been very popular as of late and we would like to ask those using the courts to please be mindful of how much time you are using the courts when others are waiting for court time. In order to be fair to all those who want to have playtime, if you see that there are residents waiting to use the courts please limit your court time to no longer than 1 hour for singles and 1 1/2 hours for doubles. Here are a few other reminders:

Gates shall be closed at all times.
Tennis courts are to be used for tennis only.
No pets are allowed on courts.
