HIGH POINT MARKET
Spring 2017 Trend Recap

Showcasing the latest and greatest in design, the High Point Market is the prime arbiter of home decor trends for interior designers and the furniture industry. Here is our take for what you will see in the coming months...

Wesley Hall Linen Barlow Sofa and Drexel Jo Sampson

For the love of linen (and textiles)
Linen, a versatile, natural fabric, is really taking off. Covering sofas and chairs and applying its texture to ceramics, you are sure to see more it along with leather and even alpaca. Velvet and other rich textiles are continuing to clamor for more attention since the fall market.

Century, Wesley Hall, and Highland House

Color trends
Neutral and new are the alliterative color narrative of the spring market. Neutral tones of  taupe camel , brown and a selection of gray dominated. However pops of saturated verdant greens and luscious purple dotted the landscape. Still hot from last season are gold , blues , and copious blushes of pink .

Curves, angles and simplicity
Tufting and channeling added curvaceous appeal to offset a trend back toward more angular furniture and casegoods. Also trending in a parallel fashion is simplicity in design -- ornate details have been sacrificed to embrace the nature of the piece and its craftsmanship.

Tommy Bahama Home and Thibaut Summerhouse (wall covering and drapery)

Organic and lush
The beauty of nature demanded to be seen! Everything from multiple lush floral prints in fabrics, wall coverings and bedding to organic live edge pieces and natural stones (quartz, onyx, marble and crystals) beckoned you to enliven your space.

Still hot...
  • Gold. In hardware, finishes, accessories, fabrics and accents, its presence is still ubiquitous. But bronze and brass are quick on its heels.

  • Geometric forms. Modern and architectural, lines, squares, triangles and other traditional shapes were layered and intertwined to create stunning patterns and compositions.

NEW INTRODUCTIONS

NICO
Create a chic space with the contemporary stylings of Nico, inspired by the vivid appeal of Thom Filicia's Manhattan home. Featuring a tempered balance of earthy mustard and deep navy tones, this transitional ensemble offers a cool cosmopolitan look. Accessorize with its faux fur bolster for a cozy touch.

WATERMILL
With a clean profile and classic aesthetic, Watermill is an effortlessly appealing addition to Barclay Butera's line of fine linens. Its neutral backdrop is framed by a thick border stripe for a tailored, hotel-worthy look that is easy to accessorize and adapt with time. Add a touch of glam to the Taupe colorway with a subtly shimmering bolster - or finish off the Indigo colorway with its versatile checkered decorative pillows.

VIONNET
Lustrous Vionnet proves that glamour doesn't have to be complicated. From the subtle sheen of its duvet cover to the flapper-dress sparkle of its decorative pillow, this silver-tinged collection is both dazzling and dignified. Accessorized with its tufted Reflection Frost ottoman and artfully beaded shams, Vionnet is the belle of the ball.

BUDDING SPRING
In Budding Spring, Celerie Kemble echoes the easy-breezy essence of early springtime. Blushing pinks and delicate textures create a carefully balanced, quintessentially feminine ambiance. Paired with the marbled Stratus fine linens, this collection features a dainty handpainted bolster and a spectrum of perfectly pretty pinks.

NEW INTRODUCTIONS

HIGH SOCIETY
An Exclusive Sunbrella ® Collection

Silver State fabrics is a leader in exclusive indoor/outdoor Sunbrella® fabrics. For 2017, its look is urbane and rich in color, and fittingly, High Society is its newest and hottest collection.

High Society is strong in neutrals with the basics covered from white to gray. The direction is for bold and full color palettes, with rich ocean colors of blue, azure and turquoise. There is citrus and green for those brighter climes. For those passion colors, High Society has splashes of orange, red, and even purple to enrich your options.
As black and white are making a strong return, they are well represented in High Society.

NEWPORT
An Exclusive Sunbrella ® Collection

Alaxi fabrics by Silver State is known for being fashion focused and style driven. Its Newport collection for 2017 does not disappoint. The look is soft, casual and luxurious.

Lost Horizon is a large repeat ombré stripe with a subtle blending of colors for an almost ethereal feeling. For seamless coordinating, solid Cashmere is ideal. Both patterns use new technology to give an unbelievably soft lusciousness. Sojourn is a very sophisticated pattern with  chunky block chenille surrounded with lots of clean ground. An excellent match is the Lola pattern, a fat corduroy chenille with new colors for 2017. With Silver State, performance fabrics never looked so good!

All patterns in the Sliver State collection are covered by a color match guarantee, which protects you from dye lot issues and eliminates the need of approval cuttings .

NEW CUSTOMIZATION

Custom Bent Square Lucite Poles
The ability to custom bend various types of poles is just one thing that makes Brimar unique. Bow and bay windows add visual interest and valuable living space to a home. Installing drapery treatments in these window areas can occasionally be a challenge; however, Brimar tackles such projects with ease.

Brimar's technology, state-of-the-art equipment and bending expertise allow it to curve metal poles which operate pleated and ripplefold drapery styles by baton, drawcord or Somfy ® motorization. Choose from multiple bend configurations to suit your window designs.

Heavy-duty 35mm lucite poles can be mitre cut to satisfy corner installations. Brackets hold the poles in position for a seamless look. No unsightly screws or external splice connectors. Its curved lucite poles will accommodate a span of windows up to 8 feet. For an uninterrupted, continuous drapery draw incorporate Brimar's c-rings and bypass brackets.
