TML Health is rewarding members who help the Pool save money. As you may know, different doctors and hospitals can offer the same treatments (with the same level of quality) for radically different prices. The good news is, we can all play a role in choosing more cost-effective providers, and now you can get rewarded for doing so! 

To earn your Member Reward, either do a provider search online on the Blue Access for Members website or call BCBSTX Customer Service (855-762-6084) to find local options and the potential savings for common “shoppable” services. 

There are hundreds of shoppable services eligible for Member Rewards, such as non-emergency MRIs, colonoscopy, labs, and outpatient surgery. If you choose one of the more cost-effective options, BCBSTX will send you 25% of the savings 4-6 weeks after the claim is processed! All the way up to $500!

ROOM BENEFITS

For Emergency Room facility services, you will be responsible for a $500 Emergency Room Fee (which is waived if you are admitted to the hospital) plus 20% of the costs after the deductible is met. 

When you receive care at an Emergency Room, you will usually get multiple bills: one bill from the facility and separate bills for any doctors that see you (or provide other services such as reading your X-rays). The ER benefit will apply the deductible and 20% coinsurance you are responsible for to the facility bill and/or the separate physician bills in the order in which the claims are processed. 

Remember that the ER one of the most expensive places to receive care. Consider using lower cost places of care when possible.
