24 New Locations, 23 States in 2026
Over the course of 2025, the Respite for All team helped launch 16 new respite communities for a total of 65 in a network that reached 18 states. Just as exciting, launches are currently planned for 24 new respite communities in 2026! That means next year we’ll see the largest expansion in a single year of this social model of care.
Most of these respite communities are in states where we already have RFA locations, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. Yet they’re also in states new to the network, including California, Pennsylvania, Utah, Louisiana, and Maryland – bringing our state total to 23.
Some launch dates are scheduled soon in winter or early spring, while others are planned for the fall. Of course, given how fast the model is spreading, these numbers could rise even higher as local teams in the evaluation stage choose to move forward in the coming months. In the meantime, the RFA team has a lot of activity underway to update our training resources, finetune our onboarding processes, and plan our Directors Calls for 2026.
