NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) - If you need additional support from an emergency response professional to assess your space and your specific business needs, call NYC Department of Small Business Services hotline at 888-SBS-4NYC (888-727-4692).
NYC Emergency Management- The City of New York has developed a list of resources for those who were affected by this historic storm.
FEMA Assistance - President Biden has approved an expedited Major Disaster Declaration that will help provide federal financial relief for New Yorkers recovering from the flooding damage caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Apply for disaster assistance and report damage to your property.

LISC NYC Developers of Colors Training

RFW Consultants (Letia Pyle and Mark Fatukasi) has partnered with LISC NYC to develop a comprehensive training program that will help mid-tier minority firms to shrink/close the capacity gap. This will enable next-level growth while also advancing efforts to meet the city's affordable housing goals. This initiative is unique in that we are layering in resource agents who will help program participants build capacity in real time. The goal of this initiative is to increase minority business access to contracts and capital in a scalable way.

Building Capacity Course for M/WBEs and Nonprofit Developers

The Building Capacity Course is designed for Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) and nonprofit developers seeking opportunities and exposure to best practices in affordable housing development. Participants will learn and expand existing skills in affordable housing development and finance, asset and property management, as well as position their business for effective joint ventures and public-private partnerships.

Applications are now being accepted until September 24, 2021! Apply now using the online application. The course will consist of 10 workshops from October 25, 2021 to May 23, 2022 on select Monday evenings from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Courses in 2021 will be virtual, and in 2022 a decision will be made whether to resume in person at 100 Gold Street in Manhattan.

JFK International Airport Redevelopment Project

R.F. Wilkins Consultants is the M/WBE compliance consultant contracted to

represent the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in their JFK Airport Redevelopment Project goal. RFW is currently working on the terminal projects below to achieve the 30% M/WBE budget utilization:

JFK Terminal 6 - JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) has been granted approval by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to build a new $3.9 billion state-of-the-art Terminal 6 at JFK International Airport.

JFK Terminal 4 - With the JFK Terminal 4 Phase 2.5 redevelopment program, Delta and JFKIAT are developing a fresh and modern terminal to deliver an elevated airport experience to New York travelers.

Aeroterm Cargo Facility - VRH is the general contractor for the first new ground up cargo handling facility in many years at JFK.

2021 Power Women of Queens

The Queens Power Women Annual Awards celebration and networking event recognize the achievements and contributions of outstanding women in the borough. R.F. Wilkins C.E.O, Francilia Wilkins Rahim has been selected as a 2021 Power Woman of Queens.

Honorees will be awarded on September 22 at the Terrace On The Park 52-11 111th Street, Queens, NY 11368.

2021 ArtsFest

The New Rochelle Council on the Arts is hosting its 12th Annual ArtFest. On October 15-17, New Rochelle and Pelham will be alive with art exhibits, live music, great food, films and exciting performances. Highlights include the free ArtsFest, Music Festival and ArtsFest, Dance Festival, New Rochelle Restaurant Week, artists’ open studios, plus activities taking place in dozens of public and private cultural venues all over town, including an Artisan Craft Market, a performance by Ajkun Ballet, a Classic Car and Vintage Harley show focused on design and a spoken word event with the acclaimed READ650.
