Change of Venue for Youth With A Mission YWAM Minneapolis is beginning a new faith venture! After 22 years of being blessed to operate from a large, beautiful property outside of Rockford, Minnesota, our ministry is moving. While the details of where we will be relocating are not yet set, we have come to a mutual agreement with the foundation from whom we have been leasing our present facility that it’s time for us to move closer to the Twin Cities. Our mission to be “a family of believers called to equip and send the next generation to be His light to the nations” has not changed. We anticipate adjustments, however, in how we fulfill our mission from a facility better suited for the changing times. We appreciate your prayers for our staff throughout this process. Rockford Public Library will be closed for new flooring starting Nov. 13 and will reopen Nov. 24.  We are very fortunate that a local scout (Joe Harkess) is assisting us with this project for his Eagle Scout rank. Not only is Joe working with us improve the layout of the library, he and his crew are moving ALL of the shelving and fixtures in the library as well as packing/unpacking ALL of our books and materials. This project would not have moved forward without Joe. The Greenrock Deli is currently for sale to any interested persons looking to have a turn-key Sandwich, Soup, Pastry and Coffee Shop. In addition to all furnishings, equipment and an easy to use new touch screen Point Of Sale system, training on the use of the equipment and operational needs with recipes for a few key menu items is available. The opportunity to create a wide range of sandwiches and soups, salads and hot/cold beverages makes this a fun place to operate. The regular and new customers that enter the doors keep it interesting. Catering to local businesses and groups makes it as versatile as you can imagine. Sharing love and faith by gathering and serving in our communities to address Health, Hunger and Habitation. After a successful Thousand Hearts Serve Day on September 26, we learned (as many have) that during this pandemic, we can ‘pivot’ as needed. Seventy community volunteers completed nine projects! A huge thank you to all the volunteers and community partners that made this possible! Now it’s time to swing right into Thousand Hearts 365; created to serve community needs as they arise throughout the year. Volunteers have helped seniors with chores and plowed snow, donated blood, provided grounds help at the Ames-Florida-Stork House and connected families in need with community resources. The Reading Buddies Program at Rockford Elementary is currently on hold but, for the past three years, up to nine 365 volunteers have served students in kindergarten through second grade.   Please connect with us if you, or someone you know, need a helping hand or if you wish to volunteer as needed by emailing Annette Tryon at annettetryon@gmail.com.
