Sharing love and faith by gathering and serving in our communities to address Health, Hunger and Habitation.
After a successful Thousand Hearts Serve Day on September 26, we learned (as many have) that during this pandemic, we can ‘pivot’ as needed. Seventy community volunteers completed nine projects! A huge thank you to all the volunteers and community partners that made this possible!
Now it’s time to swing right into Thousand Hearts 365; created to serve community needs as they arise throughout the year. Volunteers have helped seniors with chores and plowed snow, donated blood, provided grounds help at the Ames-Florida-Stork House and connected families in need with community resources. The Reading Buddies Program at Rockford Elementary is currently on hold but, for the past three years, up to nine 365 volunteers have served students in kindergarten through second grade.
Please connect with us if you, or someone you know, need a helping hand or if you wish to volunteer as needed by emailing Annette Tryon at annettetryon@gmail.com.
