On June 24th, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela - more than 5000 people have died, buildings collapsed, families have been forced from their homes, and communities are left facing urgent needs for food, safety, and support.
World Central Kitchen has responded by working with local partners to provide fresh, nourishing meals to families, first responders, shelters, hospitals, and communities affected by the crisis.
Founded by Jose Andres, WCK responds quickly with restaurants, and community partners. Their work brings not only food, but comfort, dignity, and immediate support when it is needed most.

Well, well, well it is August! It’s been a great summer so far, hot but amazing beach weather. If you haven’t made it to the beach this summer, consider doing so. It is so refreshing jumping into the ocean and it’s a “blessing”. Remember it’s the origin of evolution so there is a deep spiritual connection to the sea. Be prepared: beach coverings, sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, & water. Adding an umbrella or canopy when it is not windy is perfect. Just like a hike or any adventure, bring gear to be comfortable. Enjoy the primordial relationship with the ocean. I am wave riding when the tide is low and safe for me. I’ve been in 3 times last month; I hope to make it 2 times a week this month and plan to be wave riding into October with a wetsuit.
Emotionally July was a tough month. We lost our personal / company accountant and friend, Tom Novak, unexpectedly. Then last week I found out one of my precious Feng Shui masters, Rosalie Prinzivelli passed on. RG sent flowers and personal condolences to Tom’s service.
I wrote in a remembrance journal for Rosalie, donated to WCK in her name and had a tree planted in her honor. It’s a challenge to continue a normal routine when you are so emotionally drained. I rely on my family, friends & staff to keep me busy. I’m healthy, but having difficulty losing weight as fast as I would like. I’m able to lose about 1 lb a week & increase to 2 lbs a week. Don’t want to go too fast to keep firm skin. I lost 5 lbs and the goal is 35 more.
The studios are shining! All 4 locations are being upgraded: decor, painting, floors, improved lighting, & signage. Check the new facilities at 520, a 2nd self-taping studio in the Artist’s Oasis 10th floor at 520. We created a teachers info page on our RG website with new seminars & classes coming!. We have a great staff providing amazing client service. Ripley-Grier rocks!
As we approach the mid-term elections, please support your choices. We are in a very volatile period in our history, the future is in our hands. All the world’s countries in their ongoing evolution go through eras of rise & fall. We are a beacon of hope for the world. They are rooting for us. Let's move upward and not go backward or sideways. Speak up and take responsibility for your future and the future of the next generations. Be the positive energy in your time, be aware and have empathy for those who are suffering during their personal evolution.
Stay fit in body and mind. Keep friends and family close.
Blessings….. Patricia Ripley

Hi everyone!
As a part of my goal to see a Broadway show every month this year, I finally went to see Titanique! I never saw it when it was off Broadway but finally had a chance to go. I love parody shows so I thought it was hilarious, and I thought the whole cast had their time to shine. I highly recommend catching it before it closes!
July was a huge time for movies. I saw The Odyssey, The Invite, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I can’t say enough about any of them. I knew I’d enjoy The Odyssey because Christopher Nolan directed it, but I had no idea how much I’d end up loving it. I thought everything about it was executed so well, especially the practical effects, music, and the cinematography. I’m really looking forward to seeing it in IMAX 70mm this month!
The Invite was directed by Olivia Wilde and she starred alongside Seth Rogan, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton. I thought Olivia Wilde absolutely killed it, and I really enjoyed the chemistry between the four of them. It was so funny, touching, and the perfect amount of uncomfortable.
I’m a huge fan of Spider-Man so of course I was excited about the new movie. It completely exceeded my expectations! Out of all of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies, this felt like the first time I was able to fully connect with Peter directly without being distracted by other characters or his environment at times. Even though there were other major characters in this movie, I think they handled them well enough to never fully take the spotlight too far off of Peter. The audience also gets to see him learn about some new powers! I loved this because we didn’t get to see him when he originally got his powers. I also loved how important the city was in this movie. Although it was filmed in London instead of on location in NYC, I really appreciated the aerial shots of New York and all the attempts to make it feel like Manhattan.
Until next month, Jeannie
