Rolling Hills Estates Non-profit Grant Program

Apply today for the City of Rolling Hills Estates Non-Profit Assistance Grant Program. The Rolling Hills Estates Non-Profit Grant program is aimed at supporting non-profits located and operating within the City of Rolling Hills Estates. The funding is to support programs and services that benefit the residents and community of the City of Rolling Hills Estates. Grant amount is $2,500 awarded, on a first come, first served basis.

Funded by a grant to support seniors in our community, the RHE Resilient Seniors Care Package is designed to support RHE residents age 55 and over!
Are you a Rolling Hills Estates resident? Are you age 55 or over? If you answered yes to both of those questions, you qualify to reserve your package.

Packages will only be distributed to those who have registered and receive an email confirming delivery or pick-up date/time.

Due to grant requirements, packages cannot be provided outside the registration process. Please do not attempt to come to the City Hall if you have not already registered and been contacted by the City with a contactless delivery time.

Summer Swim Lessons- Resident Discounts Available

The San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA in partnership with the City of Rolling Hills Estates and City of Rancho Palos Verdes will offer swim lessons, lap swim and recreational swim at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. Sessions begin June 21, 2022. Group and private swim lessons are available for all ages and levels of ability. Classes will be offered from 10:30AM-1:30PM, Tuesday—Friday.  


Lessons are designed in half-hour sessions and are offered in four, two week session periods (eight lessons/per session).

Dog Licensing

All dogs in the County of Los Angeles must be licensed. Licensing pets are an important means of identification and reminder of annual vaccinations. Reduced fees are provided for spayed and neutered pets. Reduced license fees also apply for pet owners that are senior citizens (age 60 and older) and disabled veterans.

Update: Continued Roadwork PCH/Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance

The City of Torrance continues its street project at Hawthorne Blvd/Pacific Coast Highway


Friday, May 13 at 8:00 PM through Sunday, May 15 at 11:00 PM:

•     Through lanes will be temporarily reduced from 3 lanes to 1 lane in all directions.

•     Left-turns will be prohibited in all directions.

•     Right-turns will be prohibited Eastbound PCH to Southbound Hawthorne Blvd and Northbound Hawthorne Blvd to Eastbound PCH.


Sunday, May 15 at 11:00 PM through Friday, May 20 at 8:00 PM:

•     Through lanes will be reduced from 3 lanes to 2 lanes in all directions.

•     Left-turns from Northbound and Southbound Hawthorne Blvd to will be reduced from 2 lanes to 1 lane.

PV Transit Dial-A-Ride

PV Transit’s dial-a-ride program might be the service for you!


The dial-a-ride program is open to Rolling Hills Estates residents that are 65 years of age or older or disabled. Registering for this service only requires you to complete a short one-page application form and pay a fee of $10. We can accommodate customers using mobility devices.


You can use the service for trips anywhere on the Peninsula for any reason or off the Peninsula to surrounding cities for medical trips. Trips on the Peninsula are $6 each way and trips to medical facilities off the Peninsula are $12 each way.

LA County West Vector Control: Bee Safety

If you see a hive or swarm of bees:


  • Avoid the area and keep children and pets away.
  • Remain calm and quietly retreat until bees are out of sight.
  • Use your arms and hands to protect your face and eyes from stings if forced to run.
  • Quickly take shelter in a car or building.
  • Call LA County West Vector Control to report at 800-825-3400.
