Last Week to Donate Backpacks!

Do you have an extra new or gently used backpack that you’re looking to donate? The counseling office is looking for extra backpacks to help students in need. Preferably black, blue or grey. You may drop them off at the front office during school hours by Friday, November 15. Thank you! 

Soup-er Thankful Lunch for Staff!

On Thursday, November 21, your PTSA will be hosting our Soup-er Thankful Lunch for our fantastic staff. This is our chance to show how thankful we are for all they do for our school, kids, and community. Please show your support by signing up to donate an item on our lunch menu – a crockpot of soup, bread, crackers, drinks or a dessert.

Items can be dropped off in the main office on Thursday, November 21 until 9:45am. If you are bringing in a soup, please consider using a crockpot/slow cooker liner for ease of clean up. We can provide a liner for you if you contact appreciation@redmondhsptsa.org.

As always, we thank you for your generosity in celebrating our RHS staff.

The holiday season is almost upon us, and what better way to bring festive cheer to your home than with a beautiful poinsettia or wreath? The RHS PTSA is selling poinsettias and wreaths for this holiday season. These holiday plants come in beautiful choices of white, red, pink, and glitter in select sizes. Visit our website for all the options.

Order by Tuesday, November 19 and poinsettias and wreaths will be available for pick up on Friday, December 6. Thank you for supporting our Grad Night Celebration fundraisers.

Thank You for Your Coffee and Tea Donations!

Thank you so much to everyone who so generously donated coffee and tea to our amazing staff! It means so much to us to work together with you all and your kindness means so much to the staff, as well. A cup of warm coffee or tea as the winter months come in can brighten a staff member's day more than you can imagine. Thank you all so much for helping us to appreciate all that our staff does every day for our students.

Help Shape Next Year's PTSA by Being in Nom Comm!

RHS PTSA is forming this year's Nominating Committee and we need 3 or more people to serve on this very important committee. The role of the nominating committee member is to help find the most qualified people available for next year's PTSA. The committee is made up of 3 or more current PTSA members who will start working together after Wednesday, January 15. This is a great short-term volunteer position for anyone that would like to get involved with the PTSA. Time commitment is based on how the committee structures itself and most of it will be comprised of email or phone communication with potential board candidates.

Order Chukar Cherries and Support Redmond Choirs

Redmond Choirs are raising money for their spring choir trip to Oregon. Help them by purchasing delicious local favorite Chukar Cherries. Order online and orders will arrive before the holidays in time for holiday parties and gifts. If you know a choir student, credit them with the sale and proceeds will benefit their trip directly. Otherwise, your sale will benefit the general fund, which includes scholarships for students who need assistance to make the trip.

RHS Drama opened its season on Friday, November 8 with a playful new adaptation of Sense & Sensibility. Information about the show, including which roles are double cast (you will want to see BOTH amazing casts), and a link to get your tickets is available on our website. Tickets are also available on the HomeTown Ticketing App. 

Support the LWSD Toy Drive

This holiday season let's come together to spread joy and make a difference by supporting the Lake Washington School District Winter Toy Drive. Your donation of a new, unwrapped toy will make this season a little more special for children across our district.

The Winter Toy Drive runs from now until Tuesday, December 10, and toys and gifts are needed for children and teens ages 5–18. Let's ensure that every child in our community experiences the magic of the holidays.

This topic is suitable for parents of all school-aged children.

In-Person support is offered during HERD Support on Thursday, November 14.
