Breaking News from Ocean State Procures!
The Ocean State Procures TM (OSP) Bid Board is going live! The Rhode Island Division of Purchases is launching the OSP Bid Board for Open Enrollments June 1, 2020 .
Open Enrollments (formerly known as Continuous Recruitments) will be posted to the OSP Bid Board, a web-based tool that allows bidders to view, access, and respond to public bids (solicitations). The Bid Board lets vendors submit bids electronically, eliminating paper submissions.

Open Enrollment training sessions will be provided as live streamed one-hour demonstrations each Wednesday, May 27 th through July 8 th . Vendor Registration and Management is also LIVE!  Vendors can register, self-manage their account data and add users within their organization. Coming soon, vendors will also be able to view active and archived solicitations, submit bid/proposal responses, process invoices online and view payment records. We strongly encourage Vendors with active business with the State to register at your earliest convenience to transition your contracts into OSP. If you have any questions on the vendor registration process, please contact Proactis at  webprocure.support@perfect.com  or call 1-866-889-8533.

SBA Issues New Regulations for Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program

The  U.S. Small Business Administration  today published Women-Owned Small Business  Federal Contracting program  regulations  that will provide a free, online certification and eligibility application process for women-owned small businesses and economically-disadvantaged women-owned small businesses. The timeline for implementation of changes to SBA’s WOSB program has been delayed to accommodate those affected by the current pandemic.  
Starting July 15, 2020, SBA will begin to implement changes consistent with the Small Business Act as amended in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015.

DLA Land and Maritime Office of Small Business Programs is conducting a one day “virtual” TKO for Vendors.

Utilizing Your Capability Statement

Two federal government sites are allowing businesses to upload capabilities statement to their profiles. For businesses with a GSA schedule, GSA has:  https://discovery.gsa.gov/
Please contact your contracting officer to request that your capabilities statement be added to your profile.

The Department of Education just launched a new vendor engagement system that is utilized by their acquisition staff as they conduct market research and identify needs. The site allows vendors to upload and maintain their capability information in the portal  https://mysbcx.ed.gov/
