"Gearing up for College Applications with the Help of Naviance Student"

Mrs. Wright and Mrs. George will be holding a Coffee Talk session on Naviance Student and the college application process for
all IB and Traditional Senior Students and Parents.

Wednesday, August 29, 2018
8:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Robinson High School - Location TBD
(Parents will be directed to location upon check-in at Main Office)

Please join us for a hands-on workshop on how to use Naviance Student.  This workshop is specific to Seniors  as a prep for the Guidance Office's October 1 Deadline for listing colleges, requesting transcripts, and recommendation letter requests.
Naviance Student is the primary tool our RHS students will use when applying to college.  It can be used to research information on colleges, designate colleges of interest, and build a college resume.   Student and parents can also use it to search for scholarship opportunities and much more.   Come and learn more about this amazing tool!   Please bring a computer to follow along if you have one!
Calling All Volunteers!

If you are interested in volunteering on campus or at any off-site events, you will first need to complete the on-line HCPS Volunteer form.  This is required to be filled out every year and is very easy to update if you have one on file from last year.

There are a number of ways you can assist our IB Staff and Students throughout the year.  We will often feature volunteer or other assistance needs in this newsletter, with SignUp Genius links that make participation easy. If you have any questions about Volunteering, please feel free to contact Kim Davis, our RIBLI VP of Volunteers at [email protected]

"Your participation is one of the components that makes RHS the stellar campus it is and allows our students and teachers to focus on success in their academic pursuits! Thank you all for your support and Go Knights!" ~ Kim Davis
Robinson High School's awa rd-winning College and Career Center
(nicknamed "the Cube"), assists RHS students in exploring their
post-secondary options and in clarifying their plans for after they graduate.

Cube Volunteer Training
Friday, August 24 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
in the Cube (located in the Media Center)

If you are unable to attend the Training on the 24th or were unable to attend the Aug. 17 Orientation but
would like to learn about how you can be a part of  The Cube's volunteer team, please contact  Sherri Greenberg at  [email protected] .

IB Seniors Please Note:

Due to the busy schedules of our IB Seniors, Cube Volunteers will not be calling in IB seniors from their classrooms. However, if any IB Seniors would like assistance with the college application process, they are encouraged to fill out a
Call Request Form located on the door to the Cube, or come to the Cube during their lunch or JA.

Mrs. George will also be holding college application sessions for seniors
every lunch period through Oct. 1st in the Guidance Conference room/IB office.

Become a Partner in Robinson High School's Success
"Pride through Excellence"

The Robinson High School Foundation raises funds to support our school when county funds are not available. This money makes a huge difference in the daily lives of our teachers and students.

Recent school improvements include enhancing auditorium acoustics, installing a sun shade over the outdoor lunch area and providing multiple filtered & chilled water bottle filling stations on campus. However, capital improvements and other enhancements to the school grounds are not all The RHS Foundation supports.

The Foundation is the primary sponsor of The Cube, RHS's College and Career Center, as well as Naviance Student software for college and career planning (an integral tool for our students' future planning), which benefits all RHS's students.  Other important contributions  include funding teacher grants  for classroom and curriculum enhancements and supporting our PTSA .

We hope to continue to assist RHS with future improvements and student & staff support, but can only do so through the generosity of our Community and Family partners

Please help our Foundation by becoming a partner today!

Many of our partnerships include tickets to our Appreciation Party later in the school year.  The event will provide a great way to engage with other Robinson families.  Additionally, we will have an online auction in the fall which will be open to all RHS families and friends. Come join us!
Support our RHS PTSA

When you join the RHS PTSA, you are supporting programs and events  for
students, staff and the Robinson community. Whether it is  through your  finan cial support or by volunteering your time, you will make a difference in our  school.
RIBLI Support for Students
