Introducing Our New AP 
 
A new Assistant Principal for our IB Program has been announced. Mr. Matthew Johnson was appointed Assistant Principal for Magnet Curriculum at Robinson High School in 2018.  After being raised as a student through Hillsborough County Schools, Mr. Johnson began teaching History and AVID at Durant and Brandon High School in 2006.  He then started The Collegiate Academy at Armwood High School as the Lead Teacher in 2013, and moved into the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs position in 2016.  Mr. Johnson earned his Bachelor's in Social Science Education from the University of South Florida, and his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. 

Mr. Johnson will officially be on RHS's campus beginning September 24. A special Coffee Talk will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks to introduce our parents to Mr. Johnson. We welcome him to our IB community!
PTSA General Assembly Meeting

Please join our PTSA leaders for a General Assembly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.  Principal Bhoolai will give updates on HCPS news and our RHS campus. This is a great opportunity to learn more about topics that are important for our students. PTSA will have an information session on the College and Career Center, "The Cube.
HCPS District College Nights 2018-19

Every year, the HCPS District hosts College Nights with representatives from about 100 universities, colleges and technical colleges.  College Nights are free and inclusive of all students in every grade.  Click here for more information, including a list of colleges at each event.

Seniors - Important Reminder!

October 1st 
is the deadline
to enter any college to which you are considering applying into your Naviance Student "Colleges I'm Applying To" list.  This will ensure that your high school transcripts are available to those colleges when you complete your application. 

Mrs. George will be holding college application sessions for Seniors  every  lunch period through Oct. 1st in the Guidance Conference room/IB office. 
FAFSA Completion Night
 
Wednesday, October 3rd
6:00-8:00 p.m.
Media Center

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The 2018 application period opens October 1st. RHS Student Services Department and The Cube will host a FAFSA Completion Night on Wed., Oct. 3rd, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Media Center. Financial Aid Officers from area universities will be on hand to assist in completion and help answer questions about the application. FAFSA applications can be securely filled out using the Media Center computers or through use of your own laptop. 

Seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend. The Cube will provide pizza and beverages and host a raffle drawing for attendees.

RIBLI Support for Students
RIBLI provides financial support for students in need of assistance to purchase school books or supplies, to pay fees, or obtain necessary equipment to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities, or to complete summer assignments.
